February 22, 2009 - A group of stream team volunteers met to do the third water quality sampling, including the macro invertebrate collection and the chemical monitoring profile.  It was a beastly COLD day and the volunteers nearly froze to death although the invertebrates seemed fine!

October 19, 2008 - A group of stream team volunteers met to do the second macro invertebrate collection on Silver Creek, Site #1.  Since some of the volunteers had completed additional training, the sampling also included a chemical monitoring profile.

July 26, 2008 - Two stream team volunteers mentored a group of Boy Scouts as they learned about water quality monitoring on Center Creek, near Webb City.

July 12, 2008 - Our first stream Team activity was the 1st Water Festival on this day.  As part of the event, the team hosted a Shoal Creek Clean Up and Water Quality Monitoring Demo.  The "demo" activity was also the first macro invertebrate sampling for our Silver Creek Site #1.  This first success was certainly achieved with the help of Rosiland Layne who was our AmeriCorp mentor.

May 28, 2008 - The Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center Stream Team #3714 was initiated when the members graduated from the Introductory Level Course on this date.  The training was held at the Audubon Center in Joplin, MO.
