About our Stream Team
We are volunteers from many different backgrounds but all have an interest in preserving water quality. The local water resources are great and are part of our everyday lives here in southwest Missouri.
The Missouri Stream Team Program has trained and fitted over 4000 stream teams to help monitor Missouri streams. It is a job too big to be funded or managed by any government agency. This is a job that requires local communities to step forward and take charge of their own welfare.
The stream team operates with the sponsorship of the Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center. They provide volunteer support and marketing for many of our stream team events and we then work within their system to provide support for the educational opportunities conducted at the Center.
Stream Team is a wonderful part of our lives and we invite any
interested party to join us. See the FAQ
page and Contact page for more information.
